Oceania Cruises - Did you know that the exquisite speciality restaurants onboard have no cover charges?
Diversity is the watchword, especially in the four, distinctly different
restaurants onboard Regatta, Insignia and Nautica and six distinctly different
restaurants onboard Marina and Riviera. Each restaurant’s liberating,
open-seating policy awards you with the freedom to dine whenever, wherever and
with whomever you wish. Perhaps you would like to dine early with fellow guests
that you met on a shore excursion. Or you may prefer a quiet table for two,
allowing you time to linger long into the evening. The choice remains completely
yours. Simply request a table when it pleases you, and the maître d’ will see to
your wishes.
It may seem like an audacious statement to hail the cuisine as "the finest at
sea," but not when the legendary master chef Jacques Pépin serves as Executive Culinary Director. With his genius for inspiration and his culinary
wizardry for guidance, our immensely talented chefs masterfully create cuisine
that earns rave reviews from our guests, course after delectable course.
All the ingredients for magnificence are present, in particular, the intimate
nature of the ships, which enables the chefs to carefully and thoughtfully
prepare each dish á la minute. Nothing need be ever rushed or produced en masse.
Menus artfully reflect the regions where the ships sail, enhancing the
experience, adding authenticity and ensuring tremendous variety.

My Costa Fascinosa Experience
Costa Fascinosa November 2013
Firstly I Had a fab time on the Costa Fascinosa absolutely beautiful ship!! Bare in mind ive seen lots of ships but never experienced any Costa until now. Décor and food was beautiful! 2 speciality restaurants, Samsara and club fascinosa both with a 25 euro per person cover charge, I didn’t try them but to be fair I didn’t need to as the food and choice in the main dining room was good enough also the buffet restaurant and pizzeria was great too pizza and salad till 1.00 am. Also for a few hours in the afternoon you can go to a self service bit where you can get burgers, hotdogs and chips near the pool area (great for the kids). As well as self service buffet restaurant and pizzeria they had a panini bar also where you can get toasties, ciabattas and paninis too for a few hours in the day.
Extra all inclusive drinks package for Costa is a definite no brainer for those who drink alcohol or not, aswell as the usual drinks included on the Fascinosa they have a chocolate bar all hot chocolate drinks are included in the extra all inclusive package. I had a nosey what there was for kids too and there was more than I imagined kids club (entertainers were brilliant with them) , Amusement arcade, grand prix simulator and big waterslide at the top of the ship. The casino and nightclub were highlights for things to do for me as the evening entertainment wasn’t really my cup of tea. I never thought Italians would be so much fun apparently on 1 night I had a big circle of people dancing haha (they probably thought I was Italian with my slurred words)! A big Highlight for me was on the last night in the main dining room all the waiters got the ladies up and we danced a bit with them and then the waiters all started doing a gangnam style synchronized dance which I loved! not quite Diversity but 10/10 for effort haha.
As a little extra bit of additional info, i did the transfer Savona to Nice at the end of the cruise which was lovely!! I had a tip from a colleague to sit on the right side of the coach for better scenery. It only took 1hr 55 min. I timed it but obviously this depends on traffic conditions. Although I was looking through tired eyes as we had to be out of the cabin by 8am the scenery was amazing! so pretty.
Overall Lovely ship had my first enquiry for the ship last week and they booked, nice to be able to tell them from first hand experience.
